PRAYER BREAKFAST
Our Prayer Breakfast is held on the first Saturday of the month at 8.30 a.m. We share a
meal sometimes of cereals, bread rolls, jams, fresh fruit and yoghurt and at other times
cereal, bacon butties and fruit. We then join together in prayer for our church fellowship
seeking where God is leading us, for our community and for those concerns that are on
our hearts finishing about 9.30.

IT’S GOOD TO TALK

Many Christians struggle with prayer; many Christians feel guilty about their own prayers. Yet prayer is an amazing privilege. In prayer we get to talk to the Creator of the Universe; we get to talk to God. Most important people in the world never talk to me or would not answer the phone if we called. The Prime Minister never talks to us, yet God does.

Prayer very simply is communication with God. In the words of an old B.T. advert, “it is good to talk.” We do not have to use clever language or old fashioned words; we just need to be real and be open to what God will say to us.

Within the church there are two special times of prayer.
We meet every week, on Sundays, at 8.45 or 9.30am for about 40 minutes, before Sunday worship.

We meet every second Monday at 7.30pm for about an hour.
These times are open to everyone, and any situation, personal or bigger, can be the focus for prayer.

SWAD – Sunday with a Difference

__________________________________________________________________

This is a family friendly service suitable for everybody including visitors and newcomers. We start in a relaxed way with refreshments. We are lively and often noisy as we explore the Christian faith and its relevance to our everyday lives. The services contain a mixture of film clips, drama, table activities, or children’s craft as well as prayer, songs and bible reading.

SWAD usually takes place on the first Sunday of the month.

Refreshments are served from 10.20am with the service between 10.40am and 11.30am.
